Gap up, within yesterday's range, so the gap might be filled.
Global ES may look like a Bear Flag in the forming, so for now the bias is a little little bit on the downside.

My satisfaction always came from beating the market, solving the puzzle. The money was the reward, but it was not the main reason I loved the market (Jess Livermore)

My composite trend signal remains up. It is inching to a negative crossover but it can be quite a flirt. Have to wait and see.
My summation index signal is neutral but would go negative on a break of last Thursday's low.
This is a swing traders market it seems.
Sell the highs and buy the lows.
I can imagine both new highs as well as a corrective low beyond the current range in the days ahead though.
Not my thing. I get flaked out by the whipsaws if I try to trade them.
That said, I may hedge a bit at new highs or if my summation signal triggers on a downside move.
Peter, do your stop-losses ever fail to trigger because of gapping, high volatility etc. If so, how frequently and how do you handle if you are away from yr computer/phone? Stops seem to be a little unreliable with Scottrader software.
Thanks!

i went to look at a house yesterday that is in foreclosure. 1700 sq. ft. duplex each is a 2bed/1bath in a nice workig class neighborhood. It needs a lot of work - new kitchens, floors, baths. the eaves are ripped away and pigeons are living in the attic. Bank wants $150k. Foreign bidders have already pushed it $165. Probably 175 to win. It will need 50-75k in repairs and the rent will not be high enough to justify the expenses.

Foreigners just want some hard assets in $USD.

I was watching a Florida real estate auction on TV last night. Seems there is a never-ending stream of cheap beat up properties for sale there. Being a northerner the construction always looks shoddy to me though---no foundation and cinder block construction? Funny how different standards are within the same country.
consolidates here would be good for bulls, let's see if bulls can do.
