If you want the market to go down, you have to sell stuff already
Volume indicates that selling volume decreased

However, I notice that even though you weren’t selling SPY, you were buying tons of index puts, right there:

Thanks Wise AL for helping keep my head out of the sand!
I bet those put spikes have a strong positive correlation with traffic in hamptons/bridge to Gramma's house etc....election lottery 11/06/2012, thanksgiving was 11/22/12, and also the xmas season...similar to low volume holiday like right now.....EASIER TO BUY PROTECTION THAN LIQUIDATE...
here was spy (with some friends like vix and hyg nov-dec2012 in 2hrbars)

fwiw...
hazard for p/l to read zh during market hours , yet,
interesting article hinting why earnings won't go down (And Why I Believe Benny n Inkjets need to raise Rates to save our society)

http://www.zerohedge.com/contributed/20 ... uple-years

and another zh view why FED cannot raise rates (possible market reactions to 2.20% yield 10yr)
http://www.zerohedge.com/contributed/20 ... rtex-works
listen to see if FED starts talking up prices on its own book (treasuries)...

DAX bearish scenario 1: if short term target is 8090 (P&F suggests it), the Zig-zag from 8560 down to 8260 and from 8390 down to 8090 makes sense, which would confirm TWT's ideas.

DAX bearish scenario 2: DAX up to 8500 Tuesday (the inverse H&S is pointing to that target area) and then a decline to 8200ish. Here the Zig-zag would be 8560 down to 8260 and then 8500 to 8200..

DAX bullish scenario: DAX tends to follow stochastics and at the moment daily and weekly sto don't look bullish...

The only thing I know for sure: ellipses on DAX show a time signal for Tuesday and this suggests a biggish move...

Hey BB any thoughts on IWM/R2K?

My prior plan is this one, but with the uninvited (g)host I am maybe too shy  and we could see bigger retrace, if so it would fit into uempel's scenario that par.moves tends to retrace to starting point...hmmm let's see what happens this week :D

Thanks to all for great IWM charts
My two cents: I show a confluence of resistance at the 98+ zone
1) price resistance, double top
2) volatility resistance, double top on 1/RVX
3) 5dma resistance
4) pivot resistance
5) RSI-14 resistance at 50 centerline

The ascending triangle suggests a breakout.
If IWM manages to breakout and retest and hold that 98+ zone, it would be a great re-entry long signal, and a great stop-loss for longs. If it fails at resistance, then shorts have their stop-loss at 98 ish…….

HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY TO ALL. Vote Snake: https://stockcharts.com/public/1684859

This play from Options monster doubled, Sept 11 Puts -$.24 to over $.50 .

How one trader is playing Japan ETF
By Chris McKhann (chris.mckhann@optionmonster.com) | optionMONSTER – 21 hours ago (Wed, May 15, 2013)
A huge trade is looking for higher volatility in the iShares Japan Fund, which hit a five-year high yesterday.

optionMONSTER systems show that 25,000 September 11 puts were bought for the ask price of $0.24 yesterday. The volume was 5 times the strike's previous open interest, clearly indicating that this is new activity.

The trader may have been opening this new position while rolling out of the June 11 puts, where 16,000 contracts traded for $0.05 against open interest of 128,659 a few minutes later.

In that same time period, a block of 500,000 shares of the EWJ were bought for $11.94. The combination of stock and option activity would create a delta-neutral strategy would profit from a rise in volatility and/or a big move in either direction. (See our Education section)

The EWJ was up 1.3 percent to $11.91 yesterday, its highest close since August 2008. The exchange-traded fund has been on an incredible run from below $9 in November and has closed below its 20-day moving average only twice since January.

Yep gotta be cautious here, too many people have totally same "count"

Watching reaction at 1675 if it is wave B somewhere there could find the top, let's see

In Europe I think new highs are likely so maybe same in US?
