I picked the third option. I didn't know what's at stake.

The only way to save Greece is totalitarianism, a suspension of democracy and unions. A manager with good intentions to bring back free markets has to be installed, who doesn't take crap from socialists, who's not afraid to lock up law breakers like the animals that they are.

up. free option

if greece leaves - central banks will flood the mkt with great sounding headlines
if greece stays - then no big deal

i would argue the worse case for the mkt is greece stays. because then we're just left with no bailout headlines and an overbought market

wow, lots of people thinking it'll be a non-event and then next up big. leads me to think maybe we get some real and some serious selling on Monday. that would be interesting.

I just read what's going on. If Greece leaves the Euro, that would be a good thing for the Euro, but wouldn't the rest of the world be saddled with Greece's internal problems?

If Greece leaves, I guess we get a big gap up Monday. So who's shorting the gap up? Image

I have voted 'no event' but I have no clue on how markets will interpret to the election outcome.

The two leading candidates, the Solialist and the Democrat, are both for staying. So Greece exits Euro is improbable. But either candidate is likely to win a majority so the winner will have to form a coalition. The situation could get messy.

Seems that a majority is needed to do anything (improbable occurance). Then there needs to be cooperation between the winning parties to make any move. This may take weeks to unfold. It reminds me of the joke: "How do you keep an idot in suspense.............................."

Maybe the same situation with the stock market. More sideway action :(  :x ;) :) :ugeek:
Flip that coin.

Legal note:Don't believe anything I say above. You may lose yourA$$..

Highest probability is neither candidate gets a majority and a new election set for mid-July (as per their constitution). With no govt in place, they can't get the next traunch (needed in 2-3 weeks). So how will Greek people, world, and markets feel about sovereign default?
