Open higher than the previous close then close lower than the current day's open (but still above the previous day's closing price).Darkmatter wrote:What again does a filled black bar represent? I don't get black bars on my charting software.

Bulls are looking a little tired here. A pause/correction here will be healthy for the bulls. I don't see a "Sell" yet but it can happen rather fast.uempel wrote:I've got a signal on the 60 min for tomorrow afternoon or Monday morning. I don't know what today's move means, perhaps weakness in preperation of a breakout to the upside? Weakness to stimulate the bears to increase positions so that there's more bullish firepower tomorrow? Whatever, I'm still in the bullish camp.

Most people see it as a sign of weakness or possibly reversal. You'll see Cobra refer to them often. It's a pretty key idea as it can warn of a possible trend change.Darkmatter wrote:Thanks. Somehow I feel I'll never be able to remember that.

Harapa, what makes me think that today's weakness ain't significant are the signals I have on daily/weekly/BP charts: they all suggest that there might be a biggish move in approx 2 weeks, e.g. this daily SPX chart. It is not (yet) drawn precisely, but there is no indication of a strong move at the moment, strong meaning > 2 or 3 percentage points.uempel wrote:I've got a signal on the 60 min for tomorrow afternoon or Monday morning.
