Why does that 50DMA (SPY) reek of a bull trap?

I covered my shorts an hour back. It looks like a bear trap to me. Today's low is the hit of a trendline (Nov 18th, Jan and today). Am not sure if we will get to 1540 as we are all expecting before a decent bounce to 1570+

Looking for a very strong bounce in the coming days. My GDX long-term channel support at $27.30. Getting close.

Sure can't blame you for that.

My chart (SPX) shows something different. Either way, I can't blame you for covering. I'm shorting SOX and covered 50% at measured move. Holding the rest.. building up a short position (right or wrong).

I think double bottom will calm more buyers, so a pull back to form double bottom will not surprise me or fail there? taking half off the table will buy double bottom this time if we get there.

Market Neutral.

I have been on vacation for a little over a week.
The S&P is pretty much unchanged from when I left.

Did anything happen while I was gone?

I'm short $SOX (past couple days) as well via SOXS and looking to partially cover. Appreciate your $SOX charts!
