ES back up to 2110 proves to me the spike up in the middle of the night was Da Boyz playing games and passing it off under the cover of the payroll number. I have not seen an expert opinion as to why they want the market up just before a bunch of less than stellar earnings reports come in, but they clearly do.
It could be that the Landesbank collapse on top of all the other known European banking problems has tipped the scales and the hot money is starting to surge into the safer haven of the US. If that is the case then it will be the 1920's all over again as hot money sends stocks to record high valuations.

I should add that these overnight spikes (see BullBears chart) seem to get reversed out within a couple of days.

Labor Secretary Perez: "Our economy is so strong because our data collection is so strong"
Trucking and warehousing lost. Not a good sign in a consumer economy. Half the new jobs were of the burger flipper variety, so all the junk jobs from W's presidency that went away after 9 11 are continuing to come back..

Something just doesn't add up here.
Yah. UUP is merely flat on the day. And FXY hit a 52week hi earlier this AM.
