See what I mean?
However the smalls and banks remain up there; even the VIX-futures traders (XIV) are not tooooo bearish... for now...

Today proved that stop losses are required for day trading. Lost 1 point on SOXL, expecting a bounce. SOXL is now down almost 9 points where I exited the trade!

Yes, that is why I have a volatility based long and short stop on all my charts. The best loss is always the first and smallest loss.
testing yesterday's low as expected. if consolidation here instead of sharp rebound (as usual) then breakdown is more likely. let's see.

No, it really wasn't. You were calling for more price acceleration with the VIX < 10. Do you realize how bad of a call that is, statistically and historically?
I use the stop as my initial risk or R for calculating maximum position size. I am very aware that experienced traders like the people on this board will use price action support and resistance. But when the futures start moving I don't have the time to think and consider so this works as a fast and dirty.
