Floor Pivots- yes I have them on all my charts.
Why do they work? Well they are the same as Tinker Belle. When Peter Pan looks at the audience in the theater and tells them to believe in fairies TinkerBell recovers. As long as traders look at floor pivots they will continue to be meaningful.
I read an opinion a while ago that when the programmers first came to Wall Street they interviewed the traders about what they did. Of course the first thing they did every morning was calculate the daily pivots so being aware of the pivot points is deep in the legacy code of every trading computer.
mind possible 6 day H&S AAPL 30m.. RS here. Fri's LOD goes.. look to target of 145.80. 50d key at 149.21 The fruit drops from the tree, the market faulters

Wouldn't trade without them and VWAP.
Eddie, do you put VWAP on all your charts or do like it best on one time period, like 5 minutes? Do you use stockcharts and their VWAP? Thanks for the info!

I use standard pivots, and have them on all of my charts regardless of timeframe. I trade with TOS, but also use Stockcharts and have them there. I use VWAP to trade intraday as well. Pivots and VWAP can act both as support and resistance.
