[All from GS]
Hedge Funds top 5 stocks are FB, AMZN, BABA, GOOGL, and MSFT. The basket has outperformed the S&P 500 in 65% of quarters since 2001.
10 new constituents entered the basket this quarter: EQIX, GDDY, IAC, IQV, MGM, MPC, NRG, SBAC, TTWO, and XPO.

“… Good luck selling them during a firesale…”

Hedge “…funds added net leverage entering 4Q.” Data shows that “net leverage has risen in recent months and is near cycle highs.”

Meanwhile, everyone has given up on shorting: in fact, short interest as a share of S&P 500 market cap sits just below 2.0%, matching January of this year as the lowest level since 2012.

Those StockCharts ratio charts are great, so easy to set up, and so clear. Thanks for bunching them like that.

Have you considered using a setting of Thick Solid Line for ratio charts? Since it's actually the trend, and not the daily highs and lows, one cares most about with ratios.

I personally use a solid line for ratios and for mutual fund charts; and bars or candles for stocks and ETFs--where an intraday high or low might be considered a multi-day inflection point, and thus might matter...

Intraday strength is coming from the energy sector.

Weak sectors (mild, declines of 1/4 to 1/3 of 1%) are financials, XLB,XLK, and XLP.

It's partly esthetics, but it seems to me to also add clarity.

But as a Investing Guru with solid experience, what is your take on Bitcoin and other cryptos out there? Do you think it is in Bubble as no assets or commodities ever gone this parabolic in history ever...Bitcoin has just gone from penny stocks to $ 8000...that's monstrous move, which made few thousand new millionaires.

What is boggling my mind is that people believe that Bitcoin is a digital Gold, it is end of the day is a programming codes. There are many analysts are claiming that mining a 1 bitcoin cost around $ 1000 electricity! which I dont believe as Bitcoin just last year was below $ 1000 and stayed under $ 100 for more than five years after they first introduce.

Also, if it really costing $ 1000 or more to mine one bitcoin, where are people who cares about Environment? Global Warming etc. It is basically destructive technology and should not sustained in the long run.

I surely fill pain as I am not part of this mega rally. Its not that I wasn't aware of Bitcoin when they introduced back then but never believed in the concept of digital currency and decentralization etc and I still dont...If we talk about Blockchain technology then we are up to some discussion but Bitcoin or other Altconin replacing financial monetary system and replace Gold is very hard to digest.

Thank you for taking time.

Imo we approach the cryptos the wrong way by measuring them against fiat. Likely won't change for most of us till you can pay your Amazon stuff with crypto or Bezos starts to mine his own crypto

Near term BTC (and other cryptos) will be stripped of its romance appeal and transformed into another casino chip just like any other fin instrument. The BTC futs contract on CME will "legitimize" it a little more and open the door to bankers control, so Mr Jamie can get a better handle on what he calls a fraud

Meantime the sharks are actively working on stealing your bitcoins
https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles ... -transform

Go figure the challenge for HFT they can't place their computers close enough to the exchange because there is no central exchange.

Also amusing the reputation argument btc being used for criminal activity as if cash bank-wires credit cards are all 100% clean

BTW you ca also participate via companies with "blockchain" in their name just like in the old days DotCom
I threw some money at RIOT just because the ticker is genius.

About the mining I have no idea and would never get involved. There are "miners" offering participation shares in their operation but not an option if you can't visit them in person.

coming back to your reply, would you think that having Bitcoin future up within days, it can hit hard with shorting option?

I like ETH better just coz of variety it brings compare to Bitcoin. What other Blockchain companies you would recommend to look? are they listed on NYSE?

Thank you

Not sure futures on BTC will be up within days. As far as I know regulators are still working on it.

If you want to go deeper into this topic:

http://www.futuresradioshow.com/podcast/ms22/ only abt 36 mins

espcially interesting the last part:
Sunil Cutinho – President CME Clearing

blockchain cos: new frontiers offer fertile grounds for pump and dump penny blockchain stocks just like the never dying mining stocks pumps.
I am sure somebody offers win/win bitcoin binary options.

But have a look at XNET "Xunlei"

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles ... yptr=yahoo

For the LoL factor:
Dong Xue, vice president of marketing at Xunlei, said in an interview. “But we hope Xunlei’s investors flock to us because of the future of ‘shared computing’ and their trust in our new management team, rather than for speculation.”

I think the bubble will continue. Dips are being bought in a frenzy. So many speculators feverishly waiting for the next dip. Some entity with will spread fake news or hack into btc to manipulate a dip and take advantage, just like GS does in the "real world"

Happy Thanks-Giving

PS The US$ doesn't like the fed minutes...

The equity market on the other hand seems completely indifferent. In fact, Cobra's call for "flatness" today is perfectly on target so far.

QQQ is grinding slowly to a new ATH, but IWM and SPY are quite flat. The range on SPY established from 10am to 11am yesterday has basically contained all the action since.

I didn't spend much time studying bitcoin so I don't know although by instinct I think bitcoin is crazy, it's simply another dot com game (in year 2000, as long as you have a dot com, you make huge money).

If you want to be rich by trading or more precisely speculation, you cannot have logic because market is never logic, you cannot apply logic to an illogic thing, you have to think illogically.

Thank you Cobra for your response.

That's what I thought that it is in or almost close to Bubble territory ( may be bigger than dot com bubble!)
