ES back testing the median price. I am not going to get excited until it drops out of the noise level on those deviation bands. Admit I did put on a small short because we haven't crossed that line for 2 and a half days.
I should add I sure do not count the opening half hour/ hour as VWAP and Median are bounced around by the opening moves. Fat Tails, who programmed these indicators for Ninjatrader says they are not that accurate until an hour or two into the day. He lives in Berlin and certainly lives up to the stereotype of a German Programmer Statistician when it comes to being precise and testing everything.
The S&P 500 has gone 382 days without a 5% pullback. The benchmark index is just over two weeks from eclipsing the record of 394 days without a 5% drop, according to Goldman Sachs.

HEY, SINCE WHEN DO YOU FILE AN IPO IN SECRET ???
Spotify has reportedly filed for its IPO in secret. Spotify confidentially filed for its initial public offering in December and is aiming to list in the first quarter, the news website Axios reports.
[add: "By filing in private, companies can test how interested investors are in buying their stock before going public with their intentions."

With London/Frankfurt closed and this storm (I am assuming) destroying the laser and microwave links to Chicago I am guessing volume is going to dry up fast. At least I sure wouldn't be staying in Manhattan right now!
Ha Ha private IPO filing must mean they don't know if the brokerages can round up enough suckers to bail out the owners! I can hear the pitch now "I can get you in this isn't even public".

Refineries running at peak summer levels. Two tankers of heating oil in the Atlantic heading for East Coast. Big draw on Natty which is breaking below it's 5 year average. Don't forget US is now a net exporter of Nat Gas. Hedge Funds were already record long. Hello animal spirits in energy stocks. Wanna bet the shale group goes even further short in the next COT locking in profits. (at the possible future expense of the hedge funds).

Not sure how this will play out. Since everybody is in the same boat I am guessing they try to ramp up AMD purchases for now but of course they have capacity restraints. Next die shrink for Intel hits retail next year (I am planning on building a new box when they come out). If they can redesign in time I am guessing it could turn into a major upgrade cycle. Until then why would anybody buy anything they don't absolutely have to?
