Yesterday's twitter feed included chart from Liz Ann Sonders (who I do NOT follow) showing over last 8 years or so flat return US trading hours, most all gains made in extended hours. I am going to put together some overnight only charts this weekend.
Overnight tested yesterday's low and high mso the set up for this morning is anything is possible. I agree with those who say it is all up to the US Congress. So stay nimble.
View of the overnight action. I gotta change my colors, you can barely see the overnight high line just above yesterday's high. It just paused the market setting up a potential double top.

So far the ES is very orderly with zipper drop zipper drop as it keeps looking for buyers. Question is will the big boys put money to work on a Friday going into a government shutdown. Better question is do the big bucks people really care as they head for Davos and the $40 hot dogs.
