Flat open, so any gap will be filled. The Global ES looks like a Bull Flag, and I don't see any bear strength on this 2 legged pullback so the chart doesn't look bearish to me yet. Plus we might have the 911 patriotic rally today.

bull flag on crude has broken... look out below.. gap 86.45 taken out usually means continuation to the downside.

Good morning

The Euro plunges like a stone and what happens with GOLD?

down -2.5% in minutes...

probably due to CME raising margin requirements...

it's the wild west out there, be careful

When I wrote the opening statement it was flat. But anyway, the Bull Flag is still valid.

Why does a business channel not mention the futures have dropped 1% in the last half hour...no explanation...they will tell us after the market closes today probably.

any news out there for this drop? I know Europe is going down again.

Europe and European banks are the culprit. Some French banks have hit lower lows than the Lehman low.

Except this time we have an actual terrorist threat. It's a bit trickier this time -- would people want to hold stocks through the 911 weekend?
