Too much work, just watch the clock. 11:30 sell bots turn off. Sometimes buy bots have tech problems getting started but not today!
Now that does sound easier!! :D :D

MARK YOUR CALENDARS
Here are the next eps dates and blackout dates for the top Big Tech stocks:

AMZN next eps due Thursday 04/26/18 AMC (after market close), so blackout begins 3/26/18
GOOG next eps due Thursday 04/26/18 AMC, so blackout begins 3/26/18
FB next eps due Wednesday 05/02/18 AMC, so blackout begins 4/2/18
MSFT next eps due Thursday 04/26/18 AMC, so blackout begins 3/26/18
APPL next eps due Tuesday 05/01/18 AMC, so blackout begins 4/1/18
CSCO next eps due Wednesday 05/16/18 AMC, so blackout begins 4/16/18

[source is Pasta, so better double check]

Interesting to note, last month: although many had reported by 2/1/18 (the reporting dates vary), the buyback programs didn’t kick in until 2/9/18 when tech bottomed. So to repeat: the buybacks kicked in roughly ONE WEEK AFTER the eps report.

Looking ahead: earnings per share = earnings is the numerator, divided by number of shares which is the denominator. Buybacks reduce the denominator, making the EPS look better than it really is…

GS estimates share buybacks will jump to $650 billion this year, while JP Morgan predicts they could run as high as $800 billion, a new record.
(For comparison, $530 billion in buybacks was recorded for 2017.)

tech breadth, 2hrly.....

saw multiple bearish divergences with NAHL and other internals.....

seems lofty, internals dont seem to follow thru on today price levels, imo

but its early, after the bots return from bar for lunch, who knows? another rally?

CS says the low SKEW (folks are not bidding up the price of OTM put protection) means “… more tactically bullish positioning in the near-term as investors chase the rally”
And “VIX call demand remains lackluster”

SMALLS
IWM is up near its ATH from 1/24/18 @ $160.63
Measured move targets a new high
But a POTENTIAL double top makes it tough for a breakout to stick

Cobra:
Days ago you posted a note that showed media chatter and stock price from last month’s jobs data versus last week’s media and jobs data.
I thought it was a brilliant note.
I lost the location of the note, so I’m posting a THANK YOU here

UUP (US $) third day of inability to get and stay above the (downslope) 50day MA. Today is looking like another topping tail. However, price is just above natural support at the 5day, 10day, and 20day MAs. Meanwhile, ADX-13 is back down to its lowest level in months, meaning the trailing recent past of the ETF haas been relatively trendless --as it hovers around a confluence of supports and resistances.

This area may prove to be a parking spot for a while, maybe some days of range trading ahead...

North man Trading, among others, pointing out this weekend that the DOW and the NASDAQ charts look like year 2000 deja vu. But history only rhymes, it never repeats.

I am guessing the massive US Treasury funding's going on are sucking up the liquidity.
