These 5 stocks are now worth nearly $4.1 trillion. That makes these 5 companies the 4th largest economy of the world if you use GDP as a reference. Not bad for less than a million people employed at these 5 companies.
Their combined market cap increased $260B in just the past ELEVEN trading DAYS. Seriously.
ALERT: the warning signs for mean-reversion are very pronounced.

Just so we all understand how wealthy Jeff Bezos is:
At $150B, his net worth is higher than the market cap of 466 of the 500 companies in the S&P 500 (as of 7/16/18 close).

Mean reversion in what timeframe(s)?
That's the KEY QUESTION boss
I had typed "eventual" mean reversion, then deleted the too vague "eventual"
MSFT reports tonight
I'm just taking it day by day. Problem with that is when the stuff hits the fan, it will be lightning-fast and deadly

imho, Bezos, Musk, Zuckreberg, et al net worth numbers are all smoke and mirrors. Try trading 1,000 shares of AMZN and see how many 5 share / 40 share trades it takes to actually clear the order. I put in a single 100 share sell order a few weeks ago and it was three executions including one of 4 shares. No way 81 million shares of AMZN trades at $1821/share without impacting price. 50 day avg vol is 3.6 million shares, and how much of that is actually day trading scalps.

I do remember before the great Japanese market collapse when they said that Nippon telephone had a greater market cap than the S&P 500. A person I worked with was in pure panic thinking they were going to buy up our entire country. The media just loves those stories. I wonder if they are as accurate an indicator as the cover of Fortune magazine (are they still in business?).
