5/12 'Norway plans to draw a record 382 billion kroner from its wealth fund, forcing the world’s biggest sovereign investor to embark on an historic asset sale to generate cash. [Norway’s Finance Ministry via Bloomberg] ps: they own tons of U.S. stocks.

Perhaps the Fed will just print more money, and start to buy stock ETFs, further "expanding its balance sheet" (whatever that actually means). This puts a perpetual bid under the market--for as long as the entire system doesn't fall apart. I believe that when the sell in May crowd is finished being stopped out, a 'summer rally' will follow, fueled by nothing more than hyper-liquidity and pomo/somo injections from central banks.

Gold is neither dropping nor taking off. "Don't fight the Fed" is still a rule not to be ignored.
