More tests, less deaths and over 54% have recovered globally, outpacing deaths at 10.50 to 1 ratio.Cobra wrote:Seems nobody cares that the daily new cases of covid-19 is approaching all time high? It means all the past months of locking down were wasted.
My roommate in College ( Kent State 1977) was a hockey player there on a scholarship, He was from Scarborough ,Ontario, ( I believe that was part of but now is Toronto proper?) Anyway,He was a good guy,Found him on Facebook a few years agoMrMiyagi wrote:More tests, less deaths and over 54% have recovered globally, outpacing deaths at 10.50 to 1 ratio.Cobra wrote:Seems nobody cares that the daily new cases of covid-19 is approaching all time high? Only media and politicians that are trying to continues the fearmongering narrative while people just want to get back to normal. Well MOST people, there are still small pockets of nutjobs that want everyone to be wearing a mask forever, huddling in basements.
Let's look at it in local terms Cobra. here is Ontario data:
33,853 total cases
29,107 recovered 85.98%
2,619 died 7.734%
2,127 active cases out of 14,446,515 people = 0.01472% holding back the province
0.01472% of sold-out Maple Leafs game max capacity 20,270 is 3 positive tests of which 0.23 would die
Tell me now, you're going to stop going to see the Leafs lose?

I'm an hour west of you, tri-cities has 87 active cases out of 620,000, 13 in hospital so theoretically 74 running around (likely self-isolating though). That 0.01194% of the population. Even if I spend the day at Walmart and Superstore, coming across 800-900 people (a gross exaggeration), that's 1/10th of an infected case.Cobra wrote:Made some senses but you're referring to a good data (Ontario controlled well enough and now is about to reopen everything). Take a look at Canada, you'll see the differences. US has no control over the virus now. True, if you're young you're unlikely to die but, I don't know you, for me, I would not go shopping, to see film, to dinner in a restaurant and to travel around. I think at least 50% of the people would have the same thought as I, which should put enough damage to the economy.
