The run from 1075 to 1225 didnt have any meaningful wave 4. This seems to a flat 4 between 119 to 122 with completion of C now. Other option is we just did 1 of 5 from 1225 to 1191, and now on to wave 2 to 1215 or so and then the big drop tomorrow.

real resistance here but reiterate this is a 2 legged up, we're on the 1st leg up.

I was thinking 5 wave up from 1074 to 1225. Wave A correction from 1225 to 1191. Wave B impulse to 1211 and then Down to Wave C which ends at 1167 minimum or maximum at 1131 (1131 will damage the 2 weeks rally badly and going long is real scary).

When you get to a major horizontal resistance, it's not gonna break in one try. It's gonna go down and retest then break up. Day trade SPY options is not that hard if you're nimble.

BTW, bernanke speaks today..always wild swings

Best to wait buddy boy. :)

That's one big ass green hour candle. U don't want to short into that. I think it's safe to say 1211 to 1217 is the shorting target with stop loss at 1224 and profit at 1177 or more. That's a 3:1 reward:risk ratio.

Hey, I am from Oregon too. :)

I think it's too early to call FAZ. We all know there's gonna be a correction to this downtrend.

The confirmation red bar today is looking very ominous.

Let's see what the bulls can do in the face of some dark clouds here. Never underestimate the imagination of the bulls.
How's that bearish engulfing when it's not even a higher high, close lower candlestick. Doesn't completely engulf.
True, technically, a higher high was missed by a hair (1224.61 vs 1224.47) but it was definitely a close lower candlestick.

For me, it looks liked an engulf-o-mation, but in the strict technical definition of the pattern, it isn't due to a higher high being missed by 0.14 point.

Having said that, bulls are being imaginative today. ;)

Still haven't touched my "all-in" TVIX position.

Possible for the bullish view. 1131 will be bad for bulls.
