10/21/2011 Intraday Watering

Post by Cobra »

About to challenge the previous high as I expected for 3 push up pattern, the chart looks bullish so far, so good luck bulls, hopefully a decisively breakout indeed.

The gap on regular hour ES is huge, so should not be filled, especially if after 10:30am ET, there's a new intraday high, then better bears give up hopes for a reversal today because 90% chances Close > Open today.

Thanks and good morning. Looks likely that there's a new high today?

hey guys, guess we are headed back to the moon, i bought /cl 87.5 at the open. if u haven't bought already wait a few minutes for a pullback to the 10/20ema's on the 5min chart for a good risk/reward entry. good luck.

GM All!

What would really make this opex as fun and frustrating for option traders is to have an epic sell a little after the open :) Kill allllll the premium of puts and calls!

Im v light in my positions with both long and short (more bearish biased though hedged with SPY calls so this grand jump at the open will hurt a bit ).

Good Luck all ! Wont be posting much today. Off for the weekend ....its time to playyyy :D

Have a nice weekend Cobra and thanks for your selfless hard work !!

FA wise Europe is unresolved so doesn't make sense to break out. But TA wise consolidating close to the resistance more likely for breakout than not especially considering this is the third attempt.

Another great kick save at close...overtraded this one and wiped out the gains for the week.

FYI..The Dorsey Wright P & F are still bullish. They dropped below 20% and now are up to the 42% area. When this has happened befor the mkt went into an up trend for a few to mnay months with the a minimum of only one month. Will it happen again we will have to wait and see.The mkt can correct but not over 6% dn .If it does the trend will then change and all bets are off. Also nysi is still going up .So for now lets see what happens and if we break the 1230 area.If so more up,up,up.I,m growing horns for very short term.

班长:Spy is makeing its 3nd push to new high, but Rut fail to follow. On Tuesday spx jump to 1230, rut didn't.
Does this make any sense to the current rally?
Thanks.

the open. this is way too stretched, so could pullback or at least consolidation a little first.

Good morning Cobra and everyone!

I'm so bullish today!!! I exited TVIX yesterday a bit early but followed stockcycle call on buying when SPX breakout 1207 :D ... Poor the the man (yes, stockcycle is a guy!), he had got some stress to be a front runner on his first call (buying on first dip)... :o

The whole rally doesn't make sense......is this euro bailout going to solve anything long term? no.

agreed. i think this is due to technical weakness in the USD>

TLT is down, but not nearly as much as it should to support this rally. the same for VIX.

however a technical break above the previous high will force me to close my shorts.

I know I don't really need to say it, but "Don't fight the tape. You'll get burned. Just go with the trend." Disclosure: Bought TNA yesterday at 38.38. GLTA! ... and, GO, BULLS, GOOOOOOOOO! Bears go to sleep now for long winter.
