This thing is volatile and wants to hurt both sides. Careful.
i wouldn't phrase it this way--but careful sounds reasonable. tight range action (i am on qqq) is a way to wast valuable resources. the key is to retain energy for the really good moves. pacing your self is an art. how do you feel by the end of the day watching 5 min charts--how about the end of the week. are you more tired on thur and fri? if so is there a way to conserve energy during mon-wed.
if one must trade the range then you buy the bottom and short the top--in qqq today (so far) that was about 64.7 to 64.9. a tiny gain can be made using options doing this. if you hit it just right. should you trade this for "fun" or "to get an education" (sigh)? the other way to trade the range is wait for the break and jump on (purists will want to see the break tested.
each to his own--and every range is different.
however my vote is(most of the time) to use the time and energy to do stuff that is in your face at other times when the action is better. Further the reference above to "the end of the week (weak)" is esp important given the wed/thur action. Another point is we had an epic bar on friday--it's typical to have a small range bar after that--the real key was to catch fried day--yet another end of the week move. Bottom line? consider how you spend your time and energy we have limited amounts and it is all about allocation models.
nothing to say. I just hope it won't be like this for the next 2 days.

I think it is good for bulls, at least they're making it look like they have a chance (riding out overboughtness, digestion, consolidation is good here blah blah blah)
Higher high is fulfilled...now sideways don don don until wednesday....
Starting with a nap - which is an overlap of the nap from earlier in the day.
So that's a bearish nap from what I understand....... but from my point of view - naps are good.....
Maybe a bearish nap is more like hibernation than actual nap....... and that's bullish.
the 3rd time on the upside, now the bias is on the upside. again, I'm not sure.
