Hi,
May be it is not my call to say so, but I think promoting your site in some one else's blog is kind of unethical.
But hey, it is Cobra's site and if he allows , who am I to say anything.

How do you get 12:15? What do you think the SPY will be topping at? I figure 128 for Fib 50% and EMA 50.
It is based on my own cyclical analysis. Unfortunately I cannot post the technique. However, you can track it.

My view is that you can take these times and look to see if a reversal trade makes sense at the time given. For example, if at resistance/support with unusual volume (either very light or very large) and divergences then consider a reversal trade.

Every trader needs to have time measurements on their trade. It helps refine entries and maximize profits. If not then you're missing half the equation! Price AND time. Time being more important than price, in my view.
Market did turn around at 12:15. Good call for the top.

Next turn is at 3 EST. I will probably buy some calls into the close today. I'll post when I enter.

Hi Cobra

Your board and your work here ( as well as the others ) is " TERRIFIC " .. I am a fellow CANADIAN here, my friend, near Toronto, and have been reading this post for a few months now... I think I have some valuable contributions I could make as well, and have learned from YOU and all the great contributors/members here.

I FULLY agree with Anaconda, that maybe you might consider a small fee for all your very hard and diligent work,( and your honesty as people here trust you and each other, there is MUCH worth in that !! .... as those who value a forum such as this will be willing to support it.

It's hard to be a trader sometimes and to feel you may be getting honest opinions and conscientious advice, as well as the " alone all day factor ", ... so people in a forum like this can become your ' cyber' friends, during tough market days and boring one's. I look forward to reading more from you and the others, and putting in my 2 cents as well.

thanks for everything you do !

I took a nap too. Woke up to things back to my fan lines. Bulls must defend to try and start another channel to the next fan line, which of course get further and further away.

Dirt nap, perhaps?

Still think we are in P3 down and that we'll break through 1249 shortly. Your chart says it all, 99.

Cobra's been pretty staunch about no fee. I say a PayPal donation button on the blog so we can chip in when we have good days thanks to his great calls.

Cobra should be able to charge if he wants. Of course he could lose some readers. Anyone who is unwilling to pay is free to start their own message board for those interested in something free.

I would/will chip in when I earn a crust too. But still learning here and really appreciate the 'free' status immensely.
Thx again

The VIX is up huge today while the market is flat. What does this mean?

First you must understand how the VIX is calculated to give you a clue what moves in the VIX mean. My understanding is that the VIX is calculated based on how out of the money option traders are going. So the more out of the money they go the higher vix goes, but here's the key -- on both puts AND calls. So today's huge spike in the VIX could very well be people going deep out of the money on CALLS. We won't know which until the future, but understanding this move in the VIX could help interpret which it was in a few days.

Anaconda: "Still think we are in P3 down"

You may want to check out Daneric's Elliott Wave count; P3 is his preferred count too.

RSP and QQQ lower low already, so I believe there's more on the downside.

You do understand that the VIX can go up when option traders buy calls right?
