Yes, you can see triangle on 5 min SPY as well, but if it means continuation, it should mean up because from yesterday low to now, it was an uptrend.

It's hard to say when it will bottom, it's been dropping like a rock. Today the market is flat, and it's down 9-10%, so if tomorrow the market is up, then who knows how much more it will drop. It's been dropping since Oct. Next week there could be more volatility, but that does not guarantee that this will stop dropping. Your best bet is the following week April 2-6th.

It's not trading as the other VIX products, your only hope is that is begins to consolidate here as it did with the market feb 10th thru march 6th. but look at the price action of it on March 6th, the Market spiked down, but this product barely budged compared to Feb 10th. So if I were playing it safe, as soon as the product gets to the middle bollinger band, you could take the majority of your profits off the table, and let some ride, but that doesn't guarantee that it will spike higher if the market spikes lower, as it has already shown. I don't want to tell you how to trade it, because if I am wrong, I don't want to be responsible for losses or missed profits, but I am just analyzing it with you...
