One thing in the bears favor is they don't have to worry about the 6 red bars in a row on the hourly.

Al, yes EUR/USD double bottomed, but based on it's current trend that was a bear flag so far. Give me another bottom at the same level. Glad you were amused. Meanwhile, there are record long large spec positions in the USD.

Even though today opened down, the astro's are positive, which could be resulting in this wave up. But Tues and Weds have negative astro's, so we could see the market sell into the close and lower tomorrow, maybe Weds morning the bottom??? We will see...
Thurs/Fri we could see a bounce up...

Nyse Trin has been over 1.1 all the day. Now it is standing at 1.3. Thus, the volume has been more behind declining stocks and the overall sentiment a little bit negative.

Here’s why we are “supposed to be soft” today (someone already chirped about Greece and Portugal, thanks, forget who)
1/30/12 1:15 PM ET… “The US equity markets continue to move lower … on the heels of solid declines in European stocks courtesy of renewed default concerns toward Greece and Portugal. The concerns are resurfacing as Greek debt-swap negotiations with its private creditors continued with no agreement thus far, while EU officials are holding a summit again in Brussels, aimed at finalizing its permanent bailout facility and …[bla bla]…. The focus overseas is overshadowing a plethora of M&A news, as Switzerland’s ABB Ltd announced an agreement to acquire U.S. … Thomas & Betts Corp … while Dow member …[XOM] …reported that it will restructure its holdings in Japan, and …[bla bla] … Pep Boys-Manny Moe & Jack agreed to be acquired by privately-held The Gores Group… [bla bla]… Treasuries are higher amid the weakness in stocks, and after personal income and spending data came in mixed, despite a jump in a read on regional manufacturing activity. Gold and crude … lower, …US dollar is moving solidly higher….”

very good, goes exactly as planned. the strength of this rebound as I said before holds the fate of bulls and bears, so let's wait.
