entire article about this speculation in the NYT.

speculation that she would still be entitled to any appreciation of his shares post marriage. of course, it would have to recover to 38 first before that happened.

why a scum? i think it's smart estate planning.

he's getting managed by a wealth manager out in CA called iconiq capital...i'm sure they guided him in the process.

No offense, but this is coming from a man's point of view and mine a woman who has personal experience with someone so calculating. I am pretty sure that if the marriage falls apart, he will do everything in his power to give her nothing....or as little as possible, no matter how loyal and supportive she was during all the years of long hours and meager beginnings...all things I am sure she endured as much as him....

this isn't the forum for it, but i don't take offense. i'll leave it that we're of differing opinion.

i don't think he's '"scum" for that particular aspect, and you're right, it's calculating...and i think a non-emotional and rational approach to a major issue like $17B should be done with a calculator.
