if both GLD and SLV can go a bit lower, I will get in for the long run.
both have gaps down a bit here. GLD at 157, SLV 28

Agree, potential wedge is forming there so later will likely bounce bigger but imo this bounce will be sold as well, but if gets to 470 I think I will buy it for swing

470 I think it will be a gift to many long term bulls for 2013, mid Jan to end of Jan normally the end of small cap run up. big cap will be next if economy is sounded.

Yeah, that´s right...4 hundred would be even better for me
but I hope 470 is possible before bounce SPX needs to correct itself before another leg higher so wait and see mode

Hmmmm, did not expect that latest upturn - it will be interesting to see if it is confirmed Monday morning or if it disappears.
Still not trading today but I'm peaking every once in a while.

Ok, going to break out "the chart"...every time the VIX has hit this trendline support since 2007, there has been a top of some kind...with one exception in sept 2012, where we saw a double bottom in the VIX that allowed one leg higher...
I'm seeing lower prices into February...just wondering when the top will happen...seeing lot's of neg d and next week starts off negative...seeing a potential turn on Monday...
