Don't want to get into this, but please know that Bush didn't "take over" (great choice of words) at "the height of the tech bubble." NAZ peaked in March 2000. GW became POTUS Jan '01.
"don't want to get into this" immediately followed by getting into it. classic. we all know you love big O; you've made that abundantly clear for a long time. and in similar fashion, spend more time caring about words than substance. apologies for typing too fast while i hold down a real job on the side - is this better for you: "Bush assumed the role of President 15% from the market peak and still up 192% over the prior 6 years" ?
there, i feel much better that i've got all the words straight. now, which UAW chapter can i send my next bailout check to?
This is what I mean, "didn't want to get into it" Just thought I'd give you a simple fact. Relax.

I don't love O, I show respect for the President of the United States because I am a patriot regardless who who sits in the oval, unlike some. And I've said all along the electoral math favors O, 'cuz it did.

I really like how you choose to modify the time frame for his years in office. Yes, excluding the crash and if you don't count all the time he was POTUS, but just some of the time he was POTUS the market did great during that time that you've picked out. I agree.
i'm relaxed. i "modified" the timeframe to make the point i attempted to make earlier, since my lack of chronological specificity made the concept too difficult to grasp. the basic gist is that one took office around the time of the cyclical peak and the other around the time of a cyclical low. the article i was referencing alluded to performance just months and up to one year after election. it had nothing to do with all the other time during anyone's presidency, therefore neither did my comparison.
this is the first i've opinined in any political way. and you? you can spare the "just thought i'd give you a simple fact": "(great choice of words)", "unlike some", "If only you guys were as good at governing as naming things, we might one day actually get a decent right wing stock market." if you want us to believe you are simply giving facts, then simply give facts.
okay i'm done, moving on to something to things people care about

TraderGirl-- you're terrific -- glad to be the same gender. Go girl! Romney is a self-serving liar. I would love to see his other tax returns and his semi-legal profit sources which he endorses as "capitalism."

Pets, are you serious or doing like an ironic impression of a Fox Watcher?

Now, the Chrysler thing, that's just the right-wing echo camber banging around lies that no reasonable person believes.

But this Libya thing, it's despicable. Remember when 9/11 happened and how Bush got memos all summer telling him of an imminent attack, then he didn't understand so the they to turn the PDB into a history lesson for him and actually titled it "Bin Laden Determined to attack the US," then they had to send a guy down to his ranch to make him read it and he said, "OK, yo've covered your ass. you can go." Then he went out and played golf?

And after all that DEMs rallied around their president. After 9/11 Bush's approval ratings went into the 90s.

The saddest thing about this Libya mess is the Republicans have PROVEN that they lack the patriotism to rally around the POTUS in times deep international crisis or attacks on America as the DEMs did.

You should be ashamed, and the worst part is that you're not.

I'm just going to put you back on ignore. Not because you are misinformed or distracting, but because you are deeply unAmerican and unpatriotic and it makes me sad. Honestly sad. Pathetic.
