Cobra, I have become resigned to the fact that VIX will trade between 9 and 16 same as 2006-7. This prob makes sense to Ben. If so then this current vix move is just a dead cat bounce. Others are saying a repeat of 1987 because of this crazy january. Best chance for bears is mid feb which coincides with postponed debt talks.

I am planning on it. Very important to keep this on the radar. In one sense, I hope it comes soon because that can be done with a relatively mild corrective move and without serious economic trauma. On the other hand, if the move waits until all the indexes are comfortably above all time highs, it will be a fabulously rich short but potentially also the end of the bull market with a fresh round of economic trouble. Gonna be interesting...

$SPX: The H&S project posted for ES globex this morning is now a reality in SPX

We also have to remember this incidence with the VIX back in Sept....

Not saying we will get the same price action, but just to be aware...prices into the 1st/4th is key IMHO...lower prices could indicate higher prices into the 8th...and higher prices into the 1st/4th could indicate lower prices into the 8th...tomorrow seems to be key in terms of turn dates....
