Pure speculation...but this is possible...
Dow has held up better than the SPX and i would not be surprised to see a higher high on Dow and lower high on SPX as we got on Oct 5th 2012...case of bearish divergence (when one index makes a higher high and other does not)....

UUP - out of BB, double top, topping candle just above the 200SMA. VXX closing below the middle BB. SPY closing above the middle BB. We might actly rip higher next week to get to 1545? I am short but scared, might close position before close

On the daily candlesticks I am seeing an awful lot of Bearish Tasuki Gap's and Bearish Downside Gap 3 Methods'.
