I equate it with the “Shoeshine Boy” theory

I think there is something to this being a topping signal. Last time gold had a good run my wife and I were out to dinner w/ my mom and she mentioned the price of gold and how strong it is and asked my thoughts on it. Almost to the day she topped the gold market.

This could be the ultimate "magazine cover" type sell signal. I'm following some slower moving MA's hoping we get a climax run before its done, but thats not to say this isn't a black cloud...Please lemmings just jump in and run this thing up and let me enjoy a move a la CSCO when it ran from 36 to 80 in 3/2000

volume surge, the biggest bar in this down leg so might see rebound here. again we're still in the 1st leg down.

no shorts today till now, i dont think we will close at this level, 5-6 points lower, or unchanged if there will a bit of short covering

usd-cad, probably an hammer in progress, doji atm, and maybe that right shoulder ( check a 1 year chart )

BONDS at support but under 30yr resistance line.

Euro and Silver is showing strength.....(aka risk on)..
If bonds break the support, I can see Euro and Silver rallying higher....but for now I am just watching the tape...

As bonds can hold support, rally back above the 30yr resistance line.....

Commodities are signaling inflation...lets see if the bond market will give up and let rates rise....
