Is there any confirmation of triangle break up mention in Dec 30 market outlook?
Is it broken up already, or still not sure.

i read first 2 days of year has an accumulation tape mostly by undervested and underperforming managers. so they blindly buying things they need to fill their porfolios without notice of any other macro correlations. i would not attempt a short until late tomorrow or friday. lot of these commodity names look like they wanna followthru today and maybe tomorrow. trade carefully

oh no, i wasn't saying it was overall bullish...i was just being amazed at how each of these big red candles on /ES were being bought back into doji's....i'm short, but think we're probably in for a small range day.

** cautious, small short position.

still hard to say as you can read it as either double top or double bottom, so wait for the breakout first.

already breakout. the question is, has the target already met? as usually we shouldn't expect 100% target, so I'll see the pattern as completed.

Look at internals, TNX and DBV especially strong, I still think Cobra target will be hit, but there will be a big support there, that juncture will tell a lot of story can't wait to see how the market will react there, Bulls can not fail there that's for sure.

Still watching the Iran and Oil setup here... ZH posted a Reuters report that the EU has agreed on an embargo of Iranian oil in principle.

BS Alert: Iranian Oil - BS 4

As a nominated BS (Black Swan) monitor, I am giving this a BS level of 4.

BS level goes from 5 to 1, with 1 meaning that BS event is just about to happen.

i'm debating the merits of shorting oil here. i might put a small short on...but i think there's room for this BS to run the oil market to over 104

Pilot short still on and still trapped. Stop has not been hit.
Selling into the close yesterday helped.
May be nothing but last two days post opening trade has been weak with HOD between 10am and 10:20am.
We'll see what happens today with weak opening trade. Follow through to the downside would be bearish IMO.
Starting to think position may be early not wrong. It may actually work, if it is still on the books by the end of the week.
The intermediate term technicals seem like a mixed bag subject to whipsawing but with an edge to the bulls at the moment.
If the Euro slides below last Thursday's low, I'll be encouraged.
