Funny!!!
A friend of mine works for an extremely large home builder who trades publicly. He is 3 years from retirement. He would love to sell all his stock now, but fears something could be done to effect his retirement. The cancellations on homes he sees when they go to build is too high for his liking.

if it did not move SPY/IWM much, then it means sellers were meek.
You're under the impression that buys & sells influence prices. I say the owners of SPY & IWM are doing some profit-taking.

Go take a look at how many up days like this are followed by down days of the same magnitude.

I'm getting quite disgusted as I have seen mkts drive all speculators away such that regardless of price, they just open and close.

It is INSTITUTIONALIZED RAPE by the banks that are owned by the government.

The same government that endorses your crime can arrest you when they need to because you can rent politicians, but you can't own them

I think the Japanese Ambassador is saying, "yes...yes....you give it a try", and laughing his ass off when he hangs up the phone.

ECO lesson....increased money causes slower velocity of money = nothing better for the economy. Now if you want to tell the banks to take it and buy stock, that can happen. But it does nothing for the economy. Drowning people do not need more water.

I recall speaking to someone who followed that for some time and concluded it had to be bids or offers based on an arbitrage. If they wanted in or out they would not quibble.
