Because this pattern may playout and have to lock some profit here and reduce ( not all ) some of the risk.
It is good after this nice profit to wait for more clear signal
also we have 2 legs down as you can see
at least this is my view 8-)

I assume it's SMA?
Yes, I am not a fan of EMA, if you use TOS I favore Moving AverageTrianglar to smooth things out further.

well, at least I'm right about consecutive red bars. on the other hand, bulls can have as many as consecutive green bars as they like. this world never is fair, be a bear is a tough job.

very odd to be so bullish with a fairly important announcement due out at 1:30. unless.....someone already knows that it's going to be good news?

it's lunch time. bull's attack is too early.
bear will pull it back.
market has proved an efficient attack should start before close, 15 ~ 30 min, time frame. otherwise, high cost.

hmmmm....there some support, but not nearly enough in /cl, euro, /dx, TLT, and or even TVIX to have me convinced yet.

SPY spiked up to it's 10am levels, but all the above instruments are far off their 10am levels.
