Here is a little video I made to give an alternate view to the bulls.
http://screencast.com/t/NyL8xoxw
Several days ago I posted
"they can ramp it up 60 pts any time they like"
and then later
"you watch a sharp rally and all the baby bears will get scared."
(Picture re-included for my friend Al! -too cute to not include!!)
If I was only looking
at points of swings I might agree with WT. Of 90.50 down 67.25 corrected since last Friday's low, though we haven't yet br0ken the downtrend line or resistance (see chart attached)
However, and this is the point of the video
"time rules"
Gann has a rule that time over-balances price. That is when the time is up the trend has changed.
He also continues this with measuring swings in time.
When the last swing down in time exceeds the last swing down on the way up to the peak the trend has changed to down.
(He would say something like, "You have a clear definite indication that the trend has changed if confirmed by my other rules."

)
So with great clarity:
We are going
DOWN!!!!!!!!!
The trend is still DOWN !!!!!!!!!!!!

Daytrader, you are funny!!!

I like your video!
The trend should be up into the end of Dec..beg of Jan...IMHO...expecting a pullback this week, but probably not new lows...

StockChart's ZBT chart is no where close to giving a signal. The construction of the chart and associated signal is described here:
http://stockcharts.com/commentary/archi ... 1101h.html
The green chart below shows the Oct 2011 signal (red MA10).
My question for those who have an understanding of the Zweig Breadth Thrust Indicator is which one is correct?
THANK YOU VERY MUCH ROYAL
Your top chart is correct (so is T2103 on freestockcharts.com)
Zweig says it needs to go from under 41 to “above 60 in less than 10 days”
It’s at 59.67 and it has only been 5 days……
(the stockcharts.com 41/60 lines are wanky)
[edit: Because on the stockcharts.com configuration you would have to have the 41 and 60 lines on the 10 sma of the $RHNYA.
(and I can’t figure out how to do that)
You can’t have the 41 and 60 lines on the straight $RHNYA]
IMHO
Thanks for the link Al Dente, given that the 10 sma is overlaid on the $RHNYA it will use the same scale. It is important to use the same trigger lines as SC: 40 & 61.5 Looking at the indicator it's signals appear quite reliable although not the configuration Zweig used at all. It is also important to use 40 & 61.5 on freestockcharts indicator as an errant signal would have been produced last April using 40 & 60. Unfortunately my question remains unresolved as both indicators have provided reliable and synchronous signals recently. Obviously we will know the answer in the not too distant future.
