GE played out as expected. Bounced off 161.8 extension.

USO's intraday bounce might be over soon. MFI on hourly chart is too high

Not a recommendation, just info

Nice trade. I'm hanging in there. Not options, just DGP. I'm looking for a rather speedy run up that ought to surprise a lot of people. We'll see if I'm right.

Germans forcing European gov't to steal from it's citizens and down less than 1%? Color me impressed.
Xian, CNBC says that the Europeans/Germans agreed to pay 10 bil, but the Cypriots needed 17 bil. The idea how to find those remaining 7 bil was the Cypriots Gov't choice. Let's not forget that there were pirates in the Mediterranean well into the 19th century :D

Long.
I covered shorts and took profits in my hedges on Friday with plans to revisit today. Ugh!!! :x
The longs are in the black so no worries at the moment but those hedges turned into a lost opportunity.
Oh well.

My composite trend signal is up.
My summation signal is up.
I have a SKEW correction warning in effect.

I don't plan to do anything today unless things really unravel.
The jackals will be hard at work, and I don't want to get sucked in to their game and overtrade.
I'll assess things at the close and see what impact today has on my signals.
I anticipate that when the dust settles there will be some rally resumption ahead.
If we get a second push down after this morning's rebound, I may get tempted to buy, though FOMC is dead ahead...
The Dow does not seem to be too distressed at the moment by the goings on.

The Cyprus thing was not a time crunched scramble. The Europeans had plenty of time to deliberate on what to do.
I will assume for the moment that they are not idiots and that this "crisis" is being managed to achieve a particular probably political purpose.
So, for now (emphasis on now), I'll view it as a catalyst for the market to do some housecleaning rather than a fundamental turn.

Uempel,

I defer to you on these matter of course. My reading was that *how* they ripped off their depositors was up to them, just so long as they rip them off.

If you are in stocks you can wait to be right. With my very near term calls, I could not chance the theta burn. GLTU. I think it goes up too (at least it is not done trying).

SLV price at confluence of 10day and 20day MA. If it decisively breaks above or below this testing point, it might be a time for those w an opinion on the precious metals to take a position, in anticipation of a range breakout soon after, in that direction...
