You are right. Gap fill and 1220s finish will invite bears.

I partially agree, Agnosia...Nothing bullish either...Flat for me this weekend.

Dumped TVIX a few minutes ago...
who knows, just can't fight BIG green sqz bars on DIS HD JNJ etc
OH, i know who knows NYADV 2473
as usual, 5min sticks that CLOSE red cancels sqz alert, at this point spy still flirting w vwap
Thanks Al, nyadv stopped falling and that with the big 5min stick on spy made me trigger happy. Oh well still squeezed out a minor gain. The question is, how long can we stay in this sideways cage? I was thinking SPY had a decent chance of breaking out this morning, but it bumped off one of my fans and the upper Raff regresssion line. Raff reg is a great tool for quick auto channel drawing.
I think your right, wouldn't be surprised to see a breakout eod. Nice song, I like a lot of genres, but this music is too relaxed for me right now lol.

Do you wait for hits to the 20 line for going long or are you relying more on a bullish crossover with the signal line? I noticed it didn't quite make it down to the 20 line yesterday around the time that you bought TNA. Close enough perhaps...
I wait for three things:
1) Both the K & D MUST cross OVER the 20, AND
2) the 10MA must have jumped above the 20MA
3) looks like going to jump over high of last base (to make a higher-high). It is safer to wait for price to get ABOVE this high, but I take a chance and get in a few cents under the high ... and then ready to bail real quick if price starts moving down Look at the green line I drew on the chart posted earlier. This is entry. Let me know if you want me to re-post the chart, as I know it can be hard to go back and find.
Not sure why you didn't see stochastics make it down to 20. It actually went under (which is what I like). Check out the print screen again. Hope this helps.
Of course! I see it now. I was trying to recreate on my chart package and looking at SPY instead of TNA. Duh!
Cool! Gee, I never do such a thing as you did! Ha! Actually, do that stuff all the time!

well that's part of the trick, give the appearance of being neutral price action. i am holding one long /cl from 87.15, looks like a mini inverted h&s on the 5min but will close by end of day. i want to be flat into the weekend as well but i believe we're headed higher .... will buy sunday night if confirmed.
two things i heard from a guy i know at UBS....just as an FYI and sharing knowledge...
chief tech guy there thinks funds are "barbelling risk" - keeping portfolios 50% high beta names, and 50% defensive
and that he's looking for a "positive outside month for october" - index trades wider than the high and low of the previous month, but ultimately closes at or near the high. this would be a very bullish setup for the coming months. apparently the last "positive outside month" was July of '09.
anyway looks like i may be stuck in some shorts over the weekend.

SECOND squeeze attempt fails….. short covering not convincing here (cougar)
But it is only 3:25ET… and if nyadv stays sticky at >2500 (not my opinon here, data is god) can not rule out another run
Ear candy, redemption, maybe not for u http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6yXRGdZd ... re=related
Disclaimer: I am not an investment advisor. This is just my opinion NOT investment advice.
I see 3 push up, so pullback could be a little bit larger this time. it's not wise to guess the reversal, so for fun.
