someone just bought gold futures up 8 points. made GDX swing +$.24. Was it a gold bottom, or an inkling as to Fed move at 2, or a fake?

I've seen the market take the set-up presented before the "news" event more often time than not. Usually it fakes in the opposite direction, clearing stops and yanking in bag holders first though.

SPX 15m... Red channel is holding... for the FED... down moves.. Pink line, gap fill, red channel and lower pink.. Up moves upper pink channel

well, the higher low is much much higher than I'd like to see. it's reality, not always perfect. anyway, this rebound shall have small legs at least. 10 min to roller-coaster show now, so guess leg or not doesn't matter anymore.
