Hope everyone is aware that they will be closing E-mini's at the same time as the regular market starting Monday. My broker informed me that any positions that are open AFTER 3:45 will require overnight collateral levels. So futures day traders will be closing positions earlier starting next week.

"Changes to CME Globex Closing Times

Effective Monday, September 21st, the daily CME Globex maintenance period will begin 15 minutes earlier Monday through Thursday from 4:00 until 4:45 PM CT. This includes Equity Index futures (ES, YM, NQ) and Energy futures (CL). Currently, the daily maintenance period occurs Monday through Thursday from 4:15 to 4:45 PM CT.

With this change, the closing times for the following markets will now occur 15 minutes earlier Monday through Friday at 4:00 PM CT.

CME Equity
CBOT Equity
COMEX
NYMEX
DME

All other CME Globex markets trading hours remain unchanged.

As a reminder, our Margin and Delivery Liquation policy requires intraday positions to be closed 15 minutes prior to the end of the session. Effective Monday, September 21st, full margin is required for all products beginning at 3:45 PM CT. Accounts that do not have full margin at 3:45 PM CT are deemed to be in violation of the margin policy and subject to liquidation.
