January 2016 versus January 2008 - update: (correction: breakout up to 1920 the very moment I posted this. MA 20 at 1923)
January 2016 - check SPX staying in the green BB 13/1 like in 2008. So far no breakout to the upside.
January 2008 - focus on green BB 13/1 and the futile breakout to the upside

triangle breakout sometimes means the last push up, sometimes, I have no idea if it's the case today, let's see.

USO pulling off its LOD has been helping this intraday rally breakout... but one always suspects midday moves on a "snapshot day"-- EOM, EOQ. Much temporary positioning, on these last days of a month.
