nice charts Dr. Al, if all else failed internally you know TRIN, UP/DNvol, and Adv/Dec will always rules.
I think trin is redundant, but she does add a VOLUME dimension to adv/dec, however, she’s a sluuuuut

PS: note the big squeee on FAS and others

Target met right on the penny..I like Cobra's target, but bulls will push the envelope before conceeding.
Sold long. Now I get to watch and see. The 4th trading day of the year favors the bulls at open and the bears at close

OR high as resistance. Nowadays the very first OR breakout always fail, this is the 2nd OR breakout try so I assume it'll break it?

My apologies on tomorrow. The last 11 years have 7 gaps down and 1 gap up. Also 6 closes in the red with 3 of them being very agressive sell offs. The closes in the green have been pretty small. Entered short TZA at 26.30.

Wild day, NYDEC dropped under 2000 pretty fast, not such a good sign for bears, now recovered >2000, good sign for bears,
let’s see if it can hold above/below for more than a flash

And my tick guideline (in week two of testing) went bull during the short covering
Note volume spikes on the one minute timeframe (kool-aid: the only thing that can do that on a one minute timeframe is institutional block orders
…. please refute this…)

The sell-off in spy retracted exactly 50% from yhod, not uncommon. Double top with the open, looks neutral intraday.

1/2 of pilot short on. Still fishing for an intermediate top.
A top must be in or near because I let go of half of my pilot short yesterday.
It is usually a bad idea if I let intraday trade divert me from intermediate plan.
Still seeing a mixed market with a bullish tilt.
Frankly, equities holding up well considering new highs in $/euro.
Looking to reposition to full pilot short by end of week but will trade what we see.
Not sure if it will be at a high or on the run if things break down.

Looking at sp, they are made up of a lot of financials, which are holding up compared to Euro banks, Credit Suisse, Deutsche Bank and Banco Santander all down 6-7% today, and have all broken their triangle support, while US Banks have held up, wonder if that is a sign of things to come, thinking of some FAZ...

Folks may want to watch for a change in the character of trade after Europe closes today. It wouldn't surprise me to see the $ pullback a bit perhaps with corresponding support to equities. Not a prediction just an idle musing.

Off to a good start in 2012

A look at the USD and VIX, both of which signal higher equity prices.
