Trouble for silver bulls. Why not believe someone who got the calls right? I just made 30% in 8 days in one entire account trading silver long, now short.

Here's a look at the silver:gold ratio and how it relates to the SPX. Silver is the first mover and tops before gold. the ratio then makes a lower high building negative divergence against the SPX before the SPX tops. So, if this holds now, then we have not seen the high for the SPX, that will come after the silver:gold ratio rebounds a bit and forms a lower high.

I mentioned this the other day regarding the 32-33 trading day cycle, with counter moves every 15-17 days. Start with Jan. 28 and you will see it. Cycles don't last real long at times, but this one is working projecting a low around May 24...and now a high about 16 trading days from there. This also works with the 14 to 16 week top to top trading pattern that has been going on since the March lows...when counting 14-16 weeks from the top from 6/12/09. The last top was Feb. 18..and 15-16 weeks from there is the 2nd week in June.
So something has to give here...either the cycle will end or we will have a huge move up in the next week or two.

Alphahorn,
Thank you. it is amazing how gold:oil changed

to Silver: Gold to $SPX direction. I read a lot of Ashraf Laidi's articles from UK.
You have almost similar chart to his chart.
Thank you for taking the time and posting your chart.

The 20 DMA tends to make a nice turn when the market heads lower, as seen on the chart. These last two years this has happened 5 times, and in previous occurrences the correction was always much deeper than now in May 2011... As long as the market is not trading back above the 1340 level (20 DMA) I'm not an enthusiastic bull.

Yes Gabor, it depends on how you draw the line. And if you look at a chart very thoroughly, you'll see where the line belongs...

If the market has a little sense of humor it goes back exactly to DMA 55.

Don't know what the big traders want, but they sure look at 55.
