well, right after I said "disappointed". what's going on?

SPY has clear 5 waves up from 128.88 and has now retraced 50% of that move, so far. Making a new high would suggest a wave 3 up is starting....very bullish short term.

I use a combination of a forward moving average and cycles to determine when the trend changes. I'm bullish on oil short-term but the trade is just not moving yet. I'm giving it a few more days.

We should rally into the close but have a weak open tomorrow, however, buy dips.

personally i use a short-term trend indicator that needs a higher low and higher high than previous bar. We have the higher low but not a higher high so the short-term trend is still down.

personally i use a short-term trend indicator that needs a higher low and higher high than previous bar. We have the higher low but not a higher high so the short-term trend is still down.

This will get you into a trade too late, in my opinion, but it's not a bad approach.
