My summation signal is up.
My composite trend signal is up.

FOMC tomorrow to end of week:
Step 1 - Spike up or down.
Step 2 - Steep counter move from spike high or low.
Step 3 - Zig zag auction after all buy and sell stops have been cleared.
Step 4 - Elect a direction and start trending.
Step 5 - Laugh out loud.

One of the more interesting divergences for me right now is the VIX divergence.

In early August when the SPX was at these highs, VIX was about 20% lower (around 12).
Perhaps this sets the stage for SPX to crank to the upside after tomorrow while VIX drops.
Perhaps the elevated VIX is hinting at what is to come, and it won't be fun.

Yes, VIX looks like it has to drop further. In TraderLady's EW terminology: it needs a fifth wave down

By the way, another P-Bar fossil (170.99) has been unearthed and mounted in the trophy cabinet.

P.S. This is probably meaningless and just for fun.
In any case, there are no upside fossils left in the archeology. Downside (dead bear) fossils, however, are numerous...
