A 3 push up leading to a drop would be an interesting rejection of the daily SPY MACD bullish cross. It would deny confirmation.

No target and apparently it was not 3 Push Up, so forget what I said.

No volume squeeze on a vix short and OIL ramp for 5 days... gaps below galore.. in a centrally managed communist market.

Neutral. No position.

My summation signal is neutral. Acting funny. I thought it would be up by now.
My composite trend signal turned neutral yesterday. It won't turn up until one of three critical indicators turns up.

With the SPX back in the heinous trading range, the forward possibilities multiply I think.
It would not surprise me to see the index bounce around the range a bit before breaking out again, but I don't know what will happen.
With my signals in neutral, they can turn either way in the days ahead. They can also be whipsawed in range trade.

For now, I'll be waiting for my signals to tell me to do something either long or short.
I may try a small, limited time horizon trade here or there within the trading range (SPX 1838 - 1884) if it seems opportune but I am not planning on it.
My scan of the blogosphere last night seemed to be weighted with folks anticipating a pullback. That is probably right, but it may not occur until folks have been cured of that view...
