Anyone trading the Sprint - T-Mobile breakup?
I am trading into TMUS w/ average cost at 31.06 right now. TMUS may come out with new suitor but S may just shrink. My opinion.

SPX 60m.. 1900ish, minor open gap.. seems like a good support area. fwiw. (pink H&S doubtful, but there)

My summation signal is down for the SPX and turned neutral for the R2K yesterday. The R2K could turn up today.
My composite trend signal is down.

Early post as I will be out most of the day.
NYMO has been weak for several days in an oversold state,which offers the probability that a tradeable low may be in or close.
If NYMO is weak again today though, history would lend probabilities to two possible scenarios.
One would be a low by tomorrow, and the other would be that we are in or entering a crash sequence.
I am inclined to focus on the former given what I am seeing in the R2K and our dovish Fed Chair. (I may even have a long setup in play. )
However, given the complacency that has built up, I'll keep an open mind that Mr. Market could do something dramatic to get some boiling frog longs to capitulate.

I was wondering what you would have to say about Russell 2000 (I use IWM as a proxy).

ATR. A volatility formula based only on the high-low range would fail to capture volatility from gap or limit moves. Wilder created Average True Range to capture this “missing” volatility. It is important to remember that ATR does not provide an indication of price direction, just volatility.Maybe keeping human emotions off of the bankster's trading desks, relying more on the algo's has reduced volatility. If we have three weeks similar to three years ago though, a good dip cometh.
