Al, after seeing you post a picture of RRG a few days ago, I explored it a bit on Stockcharts, backtesting, et cetera. Mixed results for me. Some obvious stuff. Risk on. Risk off. But I am not seeing much predictive value in RRG. And when there is some, it is not consistent. RRG is a lot of fun though. What has your experience with it been like?Al_Dente wrote:Graph of international rotation and relative strength (relative to SPX), with a 7 week tail

Yes, I read quite a bit about it. I like it also. Always looking for predictive value, of which it seems to have some.Al_Dente wrote:Hi JFRJFR wrote:Al, after seeing you post a picture of RRG a few days ago, I explored it a bit on Stockcharts, backtesting, et cetera. I like it, it has the redundant features of a “heat map” market carpet or a “percentage performance” chart, with the addition of the “tails” and the notion of potential clockwise “rotation” that interests me.
Just a different way of viewing the mkt
Did u see the how-to page?

Hey Al,Al_Dente wrote:PAGING JFR
We’ve been watching the world’s developed markets, except china, tick down all july and half of august.
The reason why I posted that international RRG this morning was because it was such a strong graphic view with all those RUBY RED tails, which makes your mouth gap open
This chart showing the lack of participation of developed markets ex-US is a calm view with a grey line, while the RRG was like a slap-in-the-face view.
But they both say the same thing.
