Had the right trade for the day, just got out too early! Up another point since I sold it....

Almost two hours and it can't get past the Thursday ramp high/Sunday night ramp high.

With Market almost at same level since opening..VIX keep going down is not a good sign for the BEARS...maybe they are waiting for expected news so they can ramp up market by eod or tomorrow...

It has taken some time, but it is amazing how consistent this rally on the first trading day of May has become.

I will admit I saw some cautionary signs (but I am always seemingly too cautious), but I should never doubt the power of certain historical anomalies in the US equity market. I will never be able to explain them - all I can do is track them and highlight them.

This makes 16 out of 20 years that the SPX / SPY has risen from the end of April in to at least early May.

It also marks the third consecutive Monday where the SPY has not traded at the previous week's closing price....

I will wait till tomorrow morning to publish my full May preview that will also highlight the upcoming FOMC (normally not particularly market moving when there is NO press conference) and also Friday's employment report.
