Schwab's margin rates are:
Debit Balance Margin Rate
$2,500,000+ Base Rate − 0.750%
$1,000,000–$2,499,999.99 Base Rate − 0.500%
$500,000–$999,999.99 Base Rate − 0.175%
$250,000–$499,999.99 Base Rate + 0.075%
$100,000–$249,999.99 Base Rate + 0.325%
$50,000–$99,999.99 Base Rate + 0.375%
$25,000–$49,999.99 Base Rate + 1.325%
$0–$24,999.99 Base Rate + 1.825%
Base Rate = 6.75%.
Clearly they do not want any margin accounts.

IWM trying to fulfill the absolute minimum requirement of "strong dog"-hood: trying to stay above an upslope 5min bar 20period MA.
Right there... ca 139.10

15min bar universe: IWM price held (earlier today, at the very low) just above the 15min 200ema.

Small caps have a two week long really solid move up and now they retrace to the 38% level. Not seeing that as overly bearish. After a solid two weeks of up a lot of those MAs are bound to have moved a lot closer to price, especially given the long fall this summer. But with at least one fed speaker a day until we hit the pre-meeting blackout and all the shenanigans going on in Washington who knows what will happen next.

Some hard-hit sectors today: KRE (-3%+) XLF (-2%+) EEM, FXI (-1.5%)
XLE, XLP among few pockets of strength.
