One of my favorite indicators overbought RSI and overbought Stoch on 60 min chart has been saying cut the longs immediately. However, this indicator like so many works much better on the other side when both are oversold.
Longtime no see Cobra people.
Thought I would share something interesting. The inverse H+S target level coincided with the recent top intraday and made a bigger parallel channel.
I already registered with your site and wish to express my thanks for your tremendous hard work and contribution. I am been lurking in this forum for a while and a newbie in TA. Lost a lot of money in the past and will hope to take it back (hopefully in this lifetime) with your help and the help of all the fellow contributors in this forum.

stockcharts java draws them, and to answer your second question: they are an application of Newtons 3rd law and they work perfectly, very reliable. See channels, Andrews Forks, Fib Bounces/Fans, grids... Most similar to Gann's rhomboids, but better.
Look at the arrow, ellipses showed yesterday that SPX was coming to this spot.

For that you have to use other indicators, sto, macd, ppo, vix whatever. Ellipses only signal a move and the moment, in general no direction.
