yes, a brief breakout on the downside then rebound for awhile, then another leg down perhaps tomorrow. that's just an expectation according to my experiences. you know I change fast. :lol:

ok, no sharp break down, not much volume surge, so I need see a few more bars before making my next guess. overall, the day trend is down, this is clear.

Exhaustion gap it is. Now the tricky part. What do the bears/bulls do now?

There are a few gaps on SPY. On a 6 month chart, the left-most gap is 4 months ago at around 118

I was referring to Monday's gap (3/26) -- I still see a piece of the gap remain after the most recent drop.

stucap - you are right. March 23 close was 1397.11. Today's low was 1397.20 according to stockcharts

All the vixies, check out these charts...looks like vix will prob close under 17 today, under trend line. Also, vix double spikes intraday before a down leg...

If we have a ramp up into the close i think it's good for da bears.
