Guess the CPI data is inline with expectation so the market has hard time to decide where to go. The line points to where the 100% measured move target is, a pullback before reaching it would mean the up momentum has weakened, let's see.

VIX 20 was my signal to exit long stocks, but VIX is completely out of synch with stocks in the last couple of days. Not to mention CPC. What's going on?

I noticed also. An active plot to manipulate and confuse in order to keep the inflationary market going up!

The NYMO cycle is UP!
In fact, we are up in the upper Turn Zone.
As noted before, this is a signal to watch for a change in character.
That is look for reversal, consolidation or confirmation of up trend in days ahead.
It is just a time pivot not a price tell.

It looks like the 200MA may have rejected price again this morning, but the day is young.
We have gaps above and below that may wish to be closed.
We have kind of moved from the late December chop back to the early December chop.
VIX continues to down trend, which helps the bulls I think.
Closes above the 200MA and the declining tops line would be bullish too.
As usual I don't know what will happen.

I was long some SPX that got break even stopped in this morning's volatility after some scales.
I have actually been day trading in the wake. Usually a bad idea.
I would like to get a position on that allows me to do nothing, but the action of the last several weeks has not favored that.

Watch the US$ index. ebbs and flows seem to be correlating with it this morning.

Assume we have the range high and low but the high may not hold another test so a rebound here (i.e. anywhere before touching the lower boundary) would have chances to make a breakout. So a range with up bias it is.

tell ya what, small possibility, but if we get the vix down below 18.97 with this price range holding, it is gonna get downright exciting next few days

VIX 18.97 is also where i buy my next lot of SPXU if it gets there..

However I remain confused regarding how the VIX went up so much and SPY went up also on or around 11th december. Have not seen that action before..

VIX 18.97 is also where i buy my next lot of SPXU if it gets there..

technically, would set up strong + div on all frames for vix. it is head scratchy
