Generally the rebound would be sold, at least a higher low is needed for a bottom.

It's a morning hourly hollow red bar

Slow chart showing 3 ATR range so far, but volatility is increasing. At this point shifting from netral to a down day, but not very convincing.

Broke the EMA20 is the first sign toward a bottom, usually a revisit is needed as illustrated by dashed blue line.

VWAP and 7.500 in alignment and the 50% level on today's rage.

Testing day high, key time. Better a little pullback or consolidation before the breakout.

SPY 5 minutes.

Gap down and go, for openers.

Finds a bottom. Recovery.

The volatility pattern we have seen much of for a few months.
